Yesterday I was able to complete five Dear Jane blocks! The lower triangle block is TR-3 Checkerboard. Then in the back from left to right is E-8 Mama's Maze, G-7 Indianapolis, B-1 Bachelor Buttons and B-9 Tinker Toy!
I'm working on another hand applique Dear Jane block and I'll probably finish that one up today and get another ready to hand piece tonight while I'm at my Dear Jane club!
For most of today though, I am going to be chained to my computer and sketch book. I woke up this morning with the urge to sketch out a few new ideas, so it's looking to be a fun day. I'm also going to work a bit in Electric Quilt and get a few new things drawn up.
Are any of you familiar with Electric Quilt? If anyone out there knows of any good tutorials, please leave me a comment or email me. I'm not that great with EQ and know the basics and that's about it. I'd like to learn more and become more efficient with my time that I spend using this program instead of pulling my hair out!

I'm in the same boat as you - I'm pretty good at the EQ basics, but don't know much else. Quilt University has online classes (www.quiltuniversity.com). They come up every few months, but I haven't had time to take any yet. Love your DJ blocks - I can't believe you were able to make 5 in one day!!
I use EQ regularly and purchased it when it was EQ5. I love it! Classes thru Quilt University are an easy way to get started, and from your own computer and your own time. There are also tutorials on their website to get you started. Drop me a note and I will help you get there ;>

You did well to get five DJ blocks done in a day, they are all gorgeous!!! I have had EQ6 and now EQ7, ever since EQ6 came out, I was diligant enough to go through the instruction manual but really don't use it to its full capacity, and I find that drawing in EQ7 a pain, I prefer EQ6. I know 7 has more whistles and bright lights but....
Like you I would love to be able to be more creative with this program, maybe I should check out the quiltuniversity thingy too!
Your blocks & triangle are fantastic! I went overboard buying up various EQ programs but rarely use them. I think it was just a phase for me. I prefer old school paper drafting, now that I know how to do it.
I've heard quilt university, as quilt monkey mentioned is a good one.
