Fun Little Pattern Giveaway!

Wow - a New Year! Just how does the time fly by so fast on me! I've been missing in action for a few days from blogging - but I have a good reason for it and I'll share that with you another time!

I was digging around through some of my bins and containers of UFO's looking for a certain piece of fabric (I'm sure you know how that is!) and I ran across this project!

Isn't this going to be adorable when I get it completed! Well - one of these years I'm sure I will! I hand pieced those little star beauties and they are just as cute as can be!

This pattern is called Sweet William #208 by Carol Hopkins Designs. I just love her stuff. She can magically take fabric and turn it into something beautiful! Don't you agree! Evidently I meant to finish this project and use the finished piece as a model to sell the patterns back in my fabric selling/quilt show days! Here's a close up of the pattern cover.

So - I have 2 extra patterns to give away! All you have to do is leave me a little comment and tell me what your favorite color combination to use in a quilt currently is! My kids are on Christmas break, so I'll have each of them draw a winning name from all the comments left tomorrow sometime in the late afternoon! Good luck!

Right now, literally as I take a break from piecing - I am using "Little Gatherings" by Primitive Gatherings. I am making two Antimacassars (had to look up how to even spell that word, LOL), one for hubby's recliner and one for mine.
With that being said, right now my color combo favorite is "Earthtones".

I think this would be great in Red, White and Blue! It has to do with our past during the Civil War. What a great way to show our patriotism!

I love the use of red/cream and cream/red combination. I have chosen this to do a Hunter's Star 36" square wall hanging, the class for which I am enrolled in this month.

Was up your way for Christmas - back home (Winfield) to visit with daughter and her family and two other family units. Now - back "home" in TX, I am homesick for my family.

The pattern reminds me I want to make a pink and brown doll quilt. I have some pretty pinks, just need the perfect browns to work with them. This is an adorable pattern, I would love to win it. Thank you Tara!

I love the rooster reds with some type of beige (light or dark and perhaps a dash of cheddar). And the more red prints, the better. Country scrap quilts are definitely my favourite.

Cute pattern, thanks for the chance to win one. I can't pick just one favorite combination, but my next project is going to be shades of what I'd describe as a ashen purple. I have three large pieces of cloth, plus I found a piece of wool that compliments the fabrics, so I plan on adding some appliqued flowers with a blue-sage green for vines. Now to find the perfect pattern (perhaps Sweet William would work well) and get it started!
