Originally this pattern was found in Deb Strains book called, Snow Friends.  Put the publisher, Landauer has made it a free download for everyone to enjoy!

I'm not sure about you, but I've had times where I've needed a quick gift bag or two.  This is a quick and easy idea to whip up a fat quarter gift bag!  They are adorable and just think for a second here if you are gifting something to another quilter or fabric lover at heart - they will treasure this little gift bag and be able to re-use it or repurpose it into a quilting project!  The gift that keeps on giving!  I like that!

My stockings are already hung by my chimney with great care!

And not like this - which I could imagine my mischievous older children doing to me so that I wake up with a surprise myself on Christmas morning! 😂

Here's a nifty little tutorial to make some clever and cute tea towels to decorate your home for the holidays!

Just be careful and watch clicking around on the links, lots of advertisements on this little tutorial.

But if you are like many quilters, we have a fascination with hexagons lately and you might have a good template already available for your use!

  

  

  

I like the idea of making these tea towels using some of the great Christmas themed fabrics available to us. Then I started thinking - wouldn't they make cute Snowmen themed towels also to hold us through the holiday decorating season a little longer!

Find some fabrics with cute snowmen and snowflake images and use a white, or blue or even a pretty gray or silvery colored towel!

Day #12 Snowman Yo-Yo Ornament Tutorial

Look at this cute little guy (or gal) snowman ornament tutorial I came across!  Cuteness!

Super easy, super quick and using just scraps from your scrap bag!  I love it!

See the little noses used for the snowmen in the picture above? In this tutorial, she uses clay - which is awesome, works great.  But I have a quick tip to share from my craft show days.  Buying a chunk of clay might not make sense when you have only a few of these snowmen to make up and finding the orange clay this time of year in certain areas may be challenging. So - go to your local dollar store and buy a package of  either round toothpicks or a package of small diameter wooden food skewers.  Either work great and you can use a simple crafting knife or a utility knife to carefully cut the wooden pieces to the length you need (please be careful!)  Then just paint them! Or if you wanted to be a bit more rustic and still can see the bare earth (for those of us in the snow-covered regions of the USA this might be impossible!) find a few small twigs outside, cut them to length and paint!

This tutorial is just so sweet. I love angels, especially Christmas Angels. And talk about simple to make. I love the old time Christmas feel these Angels have, love the burlap and raggedy muslin look and feel of them.

This sweet little denim angel would really make a cute addition in a farmhouse or old fashioned themed Christmas decor.

Just precious.  We all have bits and pieces of muslin laying around. Get a little creative with these, have fun and try something new.

Burlap Christmas Stocking Pattern

I am so excited about this little tutorial and pattern I found to share with you!  I love burlap. I love the vintage and old feel it adds to my Christmas decor.

I love the little ball trim added to the cuff of the stocking. I think homespun fabric would make a beautiful cuff fabric on these also & paired with the burlap fabric - a complete vintage, old-fashioned Christmas look!
