QuiltMania Magazine - Ooooo's and Ahhh's

Yesterday while I was at one of my local quilt shops, The Quilt Merchant - for my monthly Applique Society meeting, I was finally able to get my hands on the latest issue of Quiltmania.  This is issue #94 March/April 2013.

I'm so happy I was able to find this issue, there are so many wonderful patterns and articles.  It's a must buy!

Just look:

All of the above quilts and projects have been added to my to-do list!  Linda Collins of Quilts In The Barn - you have been a busy gal!  Love each of your patterns in this issue!  Hope to see you at spring quilt market in Portland next month!

Also, there is a nice write up on Di Ford.  I'm barely hanging on to my seat waiting for the arrival of her new book:

Primarily Quilts.

I'm a huge fan of Di Fords designs and I like to study her quilts and the way she uses color.  My copy of this book is on order and I sure hope it gets here soon!  I cannot wait much longer!

If you would like to pre-order this book visit Homestead Hearth and place your order today!  This book is hard to find so far here in the states!

New Issue McCalls Quilting Magazine

This is the January/February issue 2013 of McCalls Quilting magazine!  I've found 3 possibly 4 projects I'd like to make from it!  I love getting good quilting magazines that have enough projects that perk my interests!

This is Hoedown designed by Maria Umhey.  Just love it and this will be first on my to do list!

This quilt is called News Flash and designed by those 2 great quilt shop owners Sarah Maxwell and Delores Smith of Homestead Hearth Quilt Shop in Mexico Missouri.  I was able to visit this shop last May and if you are ever in that area - you simply must go!  Delightful shop just full of wonderful patterns, books, tons of fabrics and wool!

This quilt is called Porcelain Stars and is designed by Jennifer Bosworth.  The colors are pretty - but just not my style, so I'm thinking this would make a great scrap quilt pattern.  I'll pull from my reproduction scrap bin if I ever get around to making this one!

This is called Very Vintage by Gerri Robinson of Planted Seed Designs.  I'm thinking on this one too...

Quilt-It Magazine - a newbie on the quilting block!

Quilt-It Today is a new magazine to the quilting world.  I missed the first premier issue - but subscribed right away.  Here is their second issue and it's not a bad magazine at all!  Can't beat the price of $3.99 per issue!

You can visit their website and even subscribe online here:

I love a few of the projects in this issue especially the quilt shown on the cover!

This is Stash of Stars designed by Julia LaBauve and Tammy Silvers of Outside The Lines Designs.  I might just have to make this one this coming winter!  So quick and easy to make!

Isn't that jean bag shown above adorable!

This gorgeous red and white quilt was designed by my friend Monique Dillard of Open Gate Quilts and is called Prints Charming.

This quick and easy quilt is called Country Roads! This was designed by Connie Tesene and Mary Etherington of Country Threads.

New American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine

The new American Patchwork & Quilting Magazine arrived yesterday and it's a keeper!  This is the February 2013 issue.  Don't you just love that cover quilt! It was designed by Laura Boehnke and is called Way Around.

This one is called Sawtooth Surround and I'm drooling over it!  It's designed by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings Quilt Shop.

This is another drool worthy quilt designed by Jo Morton and is called s'mores.

This one I like the design - but the colors are just not me!  I can really see this one done up scrappy style using reproductions!  How fun would that be.  This one is called Mix Master and is designed by Victoria Findlay Wolfe of Bumble Beans Inc.
