Hi Tara, I'd LOVE to try out Lisa's new muslins!! I love her patterns and fabrics. I also love Jan Patek's fabrics, but my all time favorite is Jo Morton!! I love most of her fabric, but the line that got me hooked was Jamestown. :-)

My favorite designer is Judie Rothermel, and my favorite line of her fabric is currently Journey Through Time. I just can't bear to cut it up!!

WOW That's so hard to choose. I think my favorite (in recent memory) is a line by Terry Clothier Thompson - Calico Craze. It's older and can't even be found anymore :( and I'd LOVE to find some more.

Gosh I'm terrible with names. Whoever designed 19th century reds was inspired - that line is my all-time favourite! Love those muslins!!

Interesting question! I can't wait to see Lisa's fabrics in person! There are very few fabric lines I don't like, particularly from Moda, but I'd have to say my current favorite is "Blessings" by Brannock & Patek. I love the colors, designs, and the wonderful silky-softness of the fabric. I have used it in several projects!

The muslin's would be so fun to have and use for projects. One of my favorite designers is Judy Rothermel. I love the 30's and Civil War and can't really name a favorite as I like all of the fabrics. I also love anything Moda!

Lovely fabrics you're giving away there. I really like Kate Spain's Central Park line.

I am so sorry; I am not up on designers and such. Are you shocked? I used to buy all my fabric at one of those big name fabric stores.

I did fall in love with Laurel Burch years ago. She is probably the first designer I bought from.

But, now I am trending to loving more traditional colors. I love Kansas Troubles fabrics but I am not up on the designers.

Don't send the quilt police!

Those muslins look great. It's hard to pick a favorite, but I love Jo Morton and Kaye England.

I would love to be in this drawing! My favourite designers are Jo Morton and Judie Rothermel, but for the time being I can't put my eyes away from the Shelburne Calico fabrics!!

Favorite Designer...too many to choose!! Anything Moda!! But for sake of not losing out on some fantastic muslin I'm going to say Moda Country Paths...gorgeous greens, reds and golds! Yum!! I've got a big stack of FQ trimmed with the Moda ribbon that has NEVER been untied! Too pretty to cut!

I have too many favorites, but I have been using the moda tea stained and love using it for stitcheries, would love to try Lisa's new material.

I just love beautiful fabric and a lot of my material comes from a friend, so not always sure what type I am using. I just know, she has great taste in primitive materials.

Oh, they're lovely! The closest thing I have to a favorite is Julie Paschkis - her Folklorica and Oceanica lines are rich and fantastic and a little bit frivolous.

The names for the Primitive Muslins are delectable. Jo are my favorite fabrics: I have an entire pie safe devoted to naught but Jo fabrics.

Nancy said...

My favorite designer could be Denise Schmidt...with her Katie Jump Rope. I have just a few pieces left and I am hoarding them...

Would love to try the new muslins..

Julie Earsom said...

I'm new to quilting so I don't know the names of designers yet, but I like a lot of the Moda fabrics I've seen. Would love to work with Lisa's new muslins. I need more blenders for sure.

I am a big Jo Morton fan. Love any of her goodies. Thank you for sharing and congrats on your new book. That is fabulous!

Sunnybec said...

Haven't really got a favourite designer I haven't been quilting long enough. At the moment, because its Christmas, I love 12 Days of Christmas by Kate Spain and I also love Bliss.

Dolores said...

I don't have a favourite designer or a favourite line of fabrics. I purchase solids or fabrics that read as solids and so these mulins really really caught my eye. I would love to win these. Thanks for the chance.

Hi Tara, Hard question, as there are many excellent designers & lines, but if hard pressed, it's a tie between Judie Rothermel & all of her Civil War fabrics & Lynette Jensen, her Milk Paint collection. I love Lisa's primitive muslin & the names are wonderful! She has my creative juices flowing again.

teresa said...

Tara, I am really anxious to use these new fabrics from my BFF Lisa! I would love to win!

Oooh these are fantastic! Being very new to quilting, I havn't really gotten to learn the name of many of the designers of fabrics yet. One name I see over and over again is Moda, and I love the fabrics.. so I hope that is an appropriate response.

Barbara Budelman said...

Howard Marcus Dunn.....I just love all his charity lines...especially Hope.
It's hard to just pick one designer.
Lisa's muslins look wonderful!

Jenna Z said...

I LOVE Alexander Henry's 'Aviary' Fabric and now I can't find it anywhere!

Joanna said...

I can never pick one thing when I like many things. For instance, I think I liked every designer's Christmas collection this year, last year, and so on. However, I recently received Mayfair by Michele D'Amore, and I love it.

Kathy said...

I can't wait to try Lisa's muslins for quilting. My favorite designer is probably Jo Morton, but, really, I like them all - there are very few fabrics I don't like!

Janet said...

Funny, every post before mine makes me change my mind about mine! I have a lot of favorite designers, but I especially love Kate Spain's Fandango. I'd love to win these muslin FQ's - I do a lot of applique and they'd make great backgrounds! Thank you for the opportunity!

I also love Jo Morton and Judie Rothermel fabrics. I usually just pick out a couple of my favorites from their lines. I'm really looking forward to Lisa's new Primitive muslins.

Susie said...

Looking forward to seeing what those prim muslins look like in person. Jo, Judie, Jan are favorite fabrics but my all time favorite line has been From the Prairie by Brannock/Patek from about 1995. I still have pieces I am stingy with using so not to use them up. Liked them so well I asked Moda to reprint that line but never heard back. Boo Hoo....my stash is disappearing and I want more!

My favorite designer is Judie Rothermel. I love all her fabric lines, but the Civil War Chronicles is one of my favorites.

My favorite designer is from 3 Sisters from Moda. I have a weakness for all things by 3 Sisters. My favorite line is Maison de Noel:)

Of course, I love French General, too....

Looking forward to your new book. It looks wonderful!

Aimee said...

I've only been making quilts for a couple of years now, and I've never payed that much attention to designers. Mostly I go to the store & just purchase whatever catches my eye in the colors I'm looking for.

Mary Schreiner said...

I think I have to say my favorite fabric designer is Kate Spain. She's one of the newest designers in the Moda family and her fabrics are so very much "not my style" but I met her in October at my first ever quilt market and she impressed me so much. She's young and inovative and for some reason her Central Park line really caught my eye. I noticed a certain sparkle in her eye when she was telling me about her upcoming projects and I think she's definately someone to be watching!

Diane H said...

Oh these muslins are lovely. Designer, Sandy Gervais and Adoring is one of my favourite lines.

Judy C said...

Jo Morton, I just love just about all the Jo Morthon fabrics.

Deb said...

Oh my, the muslins would be a terrific win! My favorite designer of the moment is Kate Spain. I have a quilt top made in her Verna, a quilt ready to start with her Fandango, a jelly roll in 12 Days of Christmas that has yet to arrive for a Christmas quilt for next year, and her newest Central Park is on my wish list.

Jill said...

I would have to say that my favorite, at the moment, is Judie Rothermel. I don't believe I can pick a favorite fabric line, just like so many of them. Congrats on the book, it looks wonderful!

Hilda said...

These fabrics look great - would be perfect for the vintage look. Thanks for the opportunity.
I love a lot of reproduction fabrics and Mary Koval and Jo Morton designers spring to mind, and anything good for reproduction broderie perse work...

Barbara J said...

I like Judie Rothermel and Jo Morton to name a few :) I am hooked on Civil War reproduction fabrics, not very particular about collections really, mostly old collections that are on sale :p !

Lovie said...

Current favorite is - Marianne Elizabeth. I like all of her lines - my favorites are Marleigh and Aubrielle (purple damask heart flower is the one that first attracted me to this line)

Cindy said...

The muslin fabrics look yummy! I have lots of favorite designers but I especially love American Jane. Just love that vintage look! I love Look and Learn and it was one of the first fabrics used for my first baby quilt. There's just sooo many beautiful fabrics out there! Thanks for the chance!

At the moment I'm in love French General's new line called Luminiere de Noel. Lisa's new muslins would go very well with that line.

Oh that's hard to choose! I love these muslins and have been looking at them on Lisa's blog. I love all of Riley Blake Designs but couldn't pick one designer - their rich and bright colors are awesome. Bu then there's Moda's Twelve Days of Christmas line - scrumptious. When I get to Heaven I'm requesting a yard of it all. :) blessings, marlene

Farbulous giveaway! My most favorite fabric designer is Judie Rothermel and her "Colonial Christmas" line is the best ever! I made four smaller quilts by that line during this holiday season :)

I am beginning to like Valerie Wells fabric...seems the print and motifs just appeal to me. I can't name a specific line...I'm not that well versed with designer fabrics.

Heartsdesire said...

Judie Rothermel would be my favourite fabric designer and I loved her Aunt Grace fabrics. Now I enjoy any of her repro 1800s or Civil War fabrics. Love those muslins. They would be a great addition to my C W collection. Thanks for the chance to win.

I just made the blocks for a sampler from Sandy Gervais Objects of Desire fabric. I had the best time mixing and matching this fabric.

I have another bundle of her Essence....she must be my current favorite since I keep buying her fabrics....grin.

I love giveaways!!

Thanks,

Billie

We do not get designer fabrics in Sri Lanka. I just pick up fabric from fabric shops and from little wayside places!!!! and from an area which specializes in remnants from garment factories!!!!

I would love to win though!

Judie Rothermel is certainly a favorite and I have loved using her collection "Inkwell." As I use it I save each little bit. They are such good deep black fabrics!

I love Anna Maria Horner's Innocent Crush!
Thanks for the chance :)

Judie Rothermel has to be my favorite - we have a joke about it. I call her Aunt Judie, because my husband is related to some Rothermels, and I'm just sure it has to be her! It's hard to pick a favorite, because I love them all. I do tend to often go back to pink and brown, so maybe one of the Charlston lines. Oh...and the reds - the Sturbridge Village Scarlets! I still get those out to pet them! And you know, a bundle of Lisa's new muslins would go quite well with those. Yep...I think I should win!

My favorite designer is Jo Morton - currently I'm working with her crimson and clover. kathie L in Allentown
